VW Scirocco

Volkswagen cars are always on the top in every Malaysian collector's list. Not only because of the brand, but the cars are famous here in Malaysia. IMO VW hatchbacks or the short term, hot hatches are always among the best design cars. my personal favorite would be the Golf and scirocco.
Hot wheels first release the scirocco casting in 2010..but the one from Speed Machine series caught my interest most because of the cool highlights on the car details. The casting i believe is based on the GT-R version. The other brand is from siku which features the scirocco in its stock form. It was my first Siku and yes I like it :)

Even though there are from different brands, taking pics of them side by side looks perfect!

LOL..the hunting never ends..anyway here is the second Calsonic car i got recently..The GT-R!!

Actually i got poisoned by my friend Loon who posted a picture of his Xanavi team.
and since i already got the Z, why not i just start with the calsonic team? lol

Aston Martin Gulf DBR9

I always like Gulf livery on racing cars..popular ones are like the Ford GT40, Porsche 917, LMP1 etc but as always the nice ones are always hard to get..Managed to find one at last a few weeks ago..and its the DBR9!

The 2005 DBR9 had to give the front seat to this new guy now

Calsonic 350Z

After such a long search..i got it! not that its very hard to find but the prices set for it are always high and ridiculous...luckily found it at amcorp at a good price. Before i was aiming for the Tomica Limited version but that was pure impossible now so this one will do. Actually, this one is even better IMO. Enjoy the pics!

Then i found out that there is actually a variant for this car..mine was a release from 2006 while the other one is from 2004..the one in 2004 has decals at the tires but lack the windscreen decals.

Aston Martin DBR9

Another kyosho stepped in the house. the 1/18 scale version of this car by autoart really blew me away. since i don't collect big scale cars (yet?), i was hoping for a smaller version. Glad to have it in my collection. Actually any Astom Martin is nice to have. They are really beautiful indeed.

side exhausts!! certainly better than pig nose style..heh

you would think the back lights are just painted but it is actually a separate clear piece.
kyosho really doesn't let me down here..nice!

comparison with Hot Wheels DBS featured earlier.
there's also a kyosho version of DBS but imo not really that appetizing..lol

And a wallpaper in 1366x768 for u guys! click to get the full size.
surprisingly the Hot Wheels version doesn't lose in looks here..great looking side by side.

I'm aiming for the Gulf version next. seems harder to get though.

Muscle Machines JGTC Amemiya RX-7

Muscle Machine is back now this time featuring the Amemiya Matsumoto-Kiyoshi Aspara RX7!!! *gasp*
as the name is too long i will just shorten it to Amemiya since Amemiya is the car's sports tuner..and also said to be the pioneer of rotary engine tuning.
I first came to like the RX-7 and the rotary engine since watching the anime of initial D back in the 90s.
compared to RX8, the RX7 seems to gain more popularity. and there are a lot of after market body kits and just put any of them it will still look good. guess the design of RX7 can really fit any kind of modifications.

looking at the side, you'll notice how minimum the door gap is. at first glance u might not think that this model actually has open-able doors! very neat.

the only thing that i think too stand out is the big antenna..looks a lil' bit cartoon-ish to me

the popular pig nose exhaust..lol~

This exact car driven by T.Ohi and N.Taniguchi managed to win 3rd place in 2003 JGTC. Anyway in case you are wondering, Matsumoto Kiyoshi or Matsu-Kiyo is one of the most popular pharmacy in japan and the Aspara is a type of enegy drink v( ̄∇ ̄)

Motul Autech GT-R

After my 1st purchase of the Nismo Z few months back, i was totally in love with kyosho 1/64..the level of detailing is irresistible indeed! One of my main target then was this Motul GT-R..really glad i finally have it in hand, and at a good price too! thanks to my friend Kendrew frome Diecast Empire :D
Now let the pictures do the poisoning!! :D

though i've been referring it as Motul Autech GT-R, the one stated here is different..not sure if the naming is correct..anyway like any other kyosho, this one comes with a base, but not with the box..only a hard plastic cover as enclosure..probably because its from a "tikam" set.
(or in english is called random set or blind set? not sure ^ ^ ;)

look at the sheer details and paint job, the previous me would not be able to tell whether this is a 1/64 or not..really awesome stuff :D

The one thing I'm wondering here is what is the logo at the side represents? if u ask me, it looks more like my local school badge..hahah

close up on the detailing..click for bigger images

Never get tired of this :)

Totally no regret in getting this one..i guess i'll really start collecting kyosho 1/64 now..but probably will focus on the GT cars cuz this is where kyosho's superiority in detailing shines! Poisoned? i hope u are :P

C6R GT

Wow, yet another C6R related entry.

Jada cars are always bigger than normal 1/64 cars, even though they categorized their cars as 1/64 scale too. anyway i did think at 1st that hotwheels version is nicer due to the decals, but after comparing them side by side, i guess Jada still wins..IMO, the casting looks more accurate and the bigger size is more satisfying.
but Hotwheels decal design plus the co-mold wheels are irresistible too!
in case you are wondering, the hotwheels follows the

2007 LAGUNA SECA / 2007 ALMS version

while Jada follows the 2005 Sebring GT1 version

man, if Jada comes out with the ALMS version too, im pretty sure to grab it! :)

Jada C6R

Jada BigTime Muscle - Track Series.
2008 production wave 16.

A friend of mine bought it for me while he was in Aussie..thanx :)
This C6R is based on the GT1 Corvette C6.R debuted in 2005 as the successor of C5.R

There are lot of die-cast manufacturers produce this car in 1/64 scale like
Jada, Hot wheels, Kyosho and Greenlight, proof that the car is really popular back then till now.
anyway here are the pics! (click for bigger images)

DSCN7998
as usual, the favorite pickup truck will bring the car to the studio..lol

somehow its funny the car came with chrome rims,
but you'll get used to it after a while..cause its still looks superb!
and if u compare it with the real car above, it perfectly replicating it.
with almost all the decals being present in the body design.

Now here's one funny thing about Jada that i noticed recently. when i started collecting Jada cars,
i only go for Japanese cars. and ALL their japanese cars have very negative tire offset..lol
u can refer to my Jap cars from Jada entries to see.
so now that i started buying cars other than Japanese cars, i realized that the cars from other makers have a proper offset! so i was thinking if the "deep dish" wheels in the Japanese car models are intended..
perhaps they designed the cars based on "Ah Bengs" cars in the US? LOL >_>

Muscle Machines JGTC Wedssport Celica

Accidentally bought this to ease the combine shipping in ebay, but without realizing it has becomes one of my favourites!

i do have JGTC cars from tomica but this one here is definitely a step higher with its detailing..and most importantly, open-able doors! lol
later i found out that it is using the same casting of the Tamiya JGTC series like shown below;

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

but sold under the brand Muscle machines in US..really love the detailing done to these cars..while the Tamiya version are no more in production, have to find the rest now from Muscle Machines while its still there! yet another brand to collect then..lol p(^o^)q
